Race and ethnic issue

Unlike my friend gummy bear, I do not have time to post every single day, actually more of nothing to write about. I shall write once every two days then.

To the main topic, I think that it is strange that while in the middle east, Africa, and Sri Lanka, people are having conflict due to difference in ethnic groups, while at South East Asia, most of the conflicts here are due to race. With the Malaysia election coming up in around a couple of weeks(actually a fortnight), there is going to be a tension in both the ethnic battle and racial battle. Barisan Nasional or BN, the government of Malaysia, will be having an ethnic battle with Parti Islam Se-Malaysia or PAS and a racial battle with Democratic Alliance Party or DAP. This battle will be rather different as the lives of Malaysian had been dropping and this will cause the citizens to side towards the oppositions, though not as much so that the opposition will win the election. I personally felt that... well I guess its not good to voice out my views here but I shall watch if the opposition gets more seats this time compared to 2004.

On a side note, can someone tell me how come 23/25 in biology test still results in getting scolded for not studying... sigh.

UTOPIAN SOCIETY

This is what i think consists of a utopian society. Please do not read unless u have a warped sense of humour like my friend the gummy bear.

Firstly, it must have people with a lot of humour... like our SS teacher Mrs Ong. Secondly, it must NOT have people who release german poison gas like mad. Thirdly, we CANNOT have people go around groping(while the rest are joking, this is for real). Last but not least... NO HOMEWORK(this is impossible but then... its for jokes).

On a side note, i feel sad that even with bonus of 2 marks, i cant even get 25 for biology... sigh... didnt even top the class.

Reflection 1

This reflection is on 'On Becoming a Writer' passage from Russell Baker. I felt that this piece of work was rather good, it was interesting and also very straight to the point. The point of this piece of work was to tell us how Russell Baker became an author. He also used a lot of 'prim' in the 3rd paragraph, i thought that was like rather repetitive but after the teacher told me that it was meant to show out the 'properness' of the teacher, I realised how important it was to have repeated those words. I also enjoyed the way he stretched the climax. Way to go, Russell Baker.
